Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what data JuiceJr ("the bot," "we," "us") collects when it's added to a Discord server, why we collect it, and what choices you and your server have. JuiceJr is a third-party application built on Discord's API and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.

By adding JuiceJr to a server or interacting with its commands, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree, please remove the bot from your server and stop using its commands.

Information we collect

JuiceJr only collects what it needs to provide moderation, automod, music, tickets, giveaways, leveling, voicemaster, and related features. Depending on which features a server uses, this can include:

  • Identifiers: Discord user IDs, server (guild) IDs, channel IDs, and role IDs — never usernames alone, since IDs are how Discord tracks accounts internally.
  • Server configuration: settings you choose, such as automod rules, log channels, level-up messages, ticket categories, giveaway prizes, and voicemaster channel setups.
  • Moderation records: warns, mutes, bans, kicks, and the reasons given for them, so moderators can review a member's history.
  • Activity data: message counts and voice activity used to calculate levels/XP, command usage for cooldowns and analytics, and giveaway entries.
  • Ticket & support content: messages sent inside ticket channels created by the bot, so a transcript can be generated for staff records.
We do not collect payment information, email addresses, IP addresses, or precise location data. JuiceJr has no premium tier, so there's nothing to bill.

Message content & automod

Automod, anti-nuke, and moderation features require scanning message content and server audit-log events (like channel/role/permission changes) in real time to detect spam, banned words, raids, or destructive actions. This scanning happens automatically and briefly in memory.

We do not permanently store the full text of ordinary messages. Message content is only retained when it's directly relevant to a moderation action you triggered — for example, the message that got someone warned, or a ticket transcript — and is kept only as long as described in Data retention below.

How we use information

We use the data above strictly to operate the features you've enabled, including:

  • Running commands and returning the correct response for your server.
  • Enforcing automod rules and anti-nuke protections in real time.
  • Maintaining leveling, economy-style stats, giveaway entries, and voicemaster channel ownership.
  • Keeping a record of moderation actions so staff can reference past warns or bans.
  • Diagnosing bugs and improving reliability of the bot.

We do not use server or member data for advertising, and we do not sell data to third parties.

Sharing & third parties

JuiceJr runs on infrastructure provided by cloud hosting and database providers, which process data on our behalf solely to keep the bot online — they don't use it for their own purposes. We may also use Discord's own API and CDN, which is subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.

We disclose data only when required by law, to protect against abuse or security threats, or with your explicit consent. We do not otherwise share data with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.

Data retention

We keep data only as long as it's useful for the features described above:

  • Moderation logs (warns, bans, mutes) are kept for as long as the bot remains in your server, so history isn't lost between incidents.
  • Leveling/XP and giveaway data are kept while the relevant feature is active in your server.
  • Ticket transcripts are kept for a limited period after a ticket is closed, then deleted.
  • All server-specific data is deleted automatically once JuiceJr is removed from that server, on a routine schedule, or sooner upon request (see below).

Your rights & data deletion

Server owners and members can request that we delete data associated with their server or Discord account. To do this, reach out through our support server with the server ID and/or user ID in question. We'll confirm and process deletion requests within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain certain records for security or legal reasons.

Removing JuiceJr from your server also triggers automatic cleanup of that server's configuration and stats.

Children's privacy

JuiceJr is intended for use in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service, which require users to be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from users below that age, and we rely on Discord's own age-gating for account eligibility.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including access controls and encrypted connections — to protect stored data from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute protection, but we work to minimize what we collect in the first place.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as JuiceJr's features change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the bot after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
